5. Visit the Original Williams Sonoma store located just south of the Plaza From Sonoma Square Walk down about two blocks and you can pop into the first Williams Sonoma Store, operated by Chuck Williams. Williams bought the Ralph Morse Hardware Store in Sonoma in 1953. Over the next few years, he gradually converted its stock from hardware to French cookware, filling a niche in the market as European cookware was difficult to find for purchase in America at the time. He later moved his store to San Francisco, but the original store has reopened with all the wonderful cookware you will ever need.
