Peace Game Progress VR 2017

Hi Mira!

Do you remember me? It’s James Miller from the Stanford DNLE MOOC where we worked on creating the World Peace Game. I hope this email finds you well!

Since the MOOC, I have received my MA from Columbia University in Computing in Education. I am now a doctoral student at Johns Hopkins University earning my doctorate in education with technology integration. My dissertation is on VR applications in educational environments.

I am going to give a presentation at a university and I wanted the audience members to have a chance to play/experience the world peace game. Is there a way that I can do this? Any suggestions on how I can get them to see the game in action or play it during the presentation?

Hope you are doing well and I would love to hear about what you are up to. Are you still in contact with Syed? Please say hi for me!

Warm Regards,

Thank you all!

I much appreciate the team effort here. I’m busy creating and rehearsing the presentation and will be giving it tomorrow morning so I don’t have the time to record a session. The presentation is on a lot of other things with educational technology so I don’t have much time for a Skype session either. I will talk to them about the Peace Game online though, and tell them that I want to schedule a time where we can showcase it for longer and properly. I will keep everyone posted. I think adding VR will make the experience that much more visceral and impactful. Let’s all be in touch!

Warm Regards,

James
